An infected root-canal system\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"2\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"19\" height=\"20\" \/>, as well as an inflammation in the bone <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"3\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"19\" height=\"20\" \/> may result. After clinical and radiographic examination, a local anesthetic is administered and the tooth is then isolated with a rubber dam.<\/p>\n<div class=\"hr_invisible\">\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full roundcorner shadow alignleft\" title=\"Endodontic Treatment\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/wann_war2.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"176\" height=\"185\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"4\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"19\" height=\"20\" \/> After caries removal an access to the root-canal orifice is created. Using very fine and flexible instruments as well as special irrigating solutions, the root-canal system is cleaned and shaped meticulously.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"hr_invisible\">\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full roundcorner shadow alignleft\" title=\"Endodontic Treatment\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/wann_war3.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"176\" height=\"185\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"5\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"19\" height=\"20\" \/> The entire root-canal system is now completely filled (\u201cobturated\u201d) with gutta-percha (a form of natural rubber) and sealed with adhesive cement. The tooth is sealed with a build-up filling so that subsequent restorative treatment can take place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"hr_invisible\">\n<hr \/>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full roundcorner shadow alignleft\" title=\"Endodontic Treatment\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/wann_war4.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"176\" height=\"185\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"6\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/6.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"19\" height=\"20\" \/> After root-canal treatment the bone needs about 6-12 months to heal.
